Quick Doodle

Just a quick doodle last night. Practicing values. Random sci-fi -ish android/cyborg or whatever you wanna call it dude.

Random Girl Sketch

When electricity fails, "Keep calm and draw". - my twitter and instagram post. Hehe.
I made some random traditional (pencil and paper) sketches of female faces some time ago when we had a "brownout/blackout" in our place and there was nothing else to do because of the typhoon. This was just one of the eight sketches I made. Maybe I will post the other sketches some other time.

Anatomy Study

Another old stuff. (I've been digging in my archives lately hehe). I was studying the structure and proportion of the human body (particularly male) in this image. I really learned a lot from Andrew Loomis' "Figure Drawing for All It's Worth". I never went to an art school so I didn't know the basics and fundamentals of drawing the human anatomy that's why his book is really helpful to a self-taught artist like me.

Gesture Drawing Study

Pose Sketches
Some old stuff. Quick pose and gesture studies from my archives. Still need to work on poses and gestures, not quite there yet. I need to loosen up more on my gesture drawings.

Gesture Study
On another note, I'm not quite sure what site I used on these studies for gesture references but I think it was pixelovely.com or lovecastle.org. Unfortunately, I checked on lovecastle but it's already closed. Pixelovely is still working though so you can check it out if you need some references for your gesture study/practice. They allow you to customize your session by selecting what you want to draw (male/female, covered/nude), what kind of session (standard or class mode) and setting up the time limit (class mode) or time intervals (standard) between photo references.
It's really helpful. You should try it out.

Iron Man - sketch

Just a portrait sketch of Iron Man. I noticed there are some square marks/pattern in the image.
It's probably the "pencil" brush I used.
